I have been itching to share those with you all for a while now. :D
As you know, I have not yet officially opened for business yet here in Okinawa but I have already started socializing with the fellow photographers here. Great bunch of people interested in photography and/or running their own photography business. I instantly made friends with a few of them and just started talking about the types of sessions we offer and discussed referring clients to each other. At one of the meetings, Michelle, an amazing boudoir photographer behind Mad Banana Photography , mentioned that she would like to send my details to one of her clients who was just about to have a baby. I was excited to hear that and quickly thought about how soon I could unpack the rest of the boxes in the house to make sure I was ready for the session.
I received an email from the mommy-to-be booking the session and by the time I got to reply to her email the next morning, she was already in labor at the hospital :)
I got to meet baby Ryah when she was 10 days old. She was not going to make my life easy while photographing her… She decided that despite all the food, cuddles, warm room and white noise she was going to stay awake if she wasn’t dressed or held by daddy. We got a 5 minutes snooze when I got to capture all the little details but nothing else. After close to 5hrs of trying we called it a day and decided that maybe if we set another date later in the week we would get lucky and got few more photos of her.
We met again when she was 16 days old but again, she was not having it but at least was relaxed enough to let me be in her face with my big camera. As demanding and different to most of the newborn session this one was, I love the photos I got to capture of her. I cannot pick just a few photos to share… I want to share them all as she’s so stinking cute! Enjoy!
