I knew this post would happen but to be very honest, didn’t realize that it would be this year. I truly believe in the saying that things
happen for a reason. Sooner or later we will know what the reason was but for now we just have to make the most of the situation :)
It broke my heart to have to message those clients that were affected. My hands were shaking and I had tears in my eyes writing the emails.
To receive responses like “I understand, we are all living the military life…” put me at ease and made me realize that no matter how hard I tried
I couldn’t do anything. It is fine….That’s when I embraced what was about to happen and started getting excited…. a little too excited to be honest haha
It really is a bittersweet moment but….
… that’s right, we are going back home! ENGLAND, that’s where everything started for our family. I met my husband there, we got married there,
Brandon was born there… now it is time for him to start school there too. So strange to send him to the same academic system as I attended after moving to
Cambridge at the age of 17 to go to school there. It will be an adventure!
I cannot wait to take my business back there too. The past 3.5 years here on Okinawa have been AMAZING for Simply Ania. I have grown so much
business wise. I am so very grateful for all of my wonderful clients who allowed me to be a part of their birth stories, those that asked me to photograph
all the wonderful growing bellies and then the new additions to their families. THANK YOU!!! I will forever be grateful for all the opportunities that I grabbed here on the island!
My schedule is filling up really quickly for the next three months that we have left here. I am going to stop shooting on August 20th!

MAY – FULLY BOOKED
JUNE – few openings available for newborn sessions or evening outdoors sessions
JULY – both newborn and evening sessions available
AUGUST – booking babies due or born between August 1 and 12th as well as evening outdoors sessions
I am fully booked for birth photography documentary sessions. I will be photographing two more births that I already have on the books before we leave.
I know that some of my wonderful clients are moving to the UK as well over this summer. I am so excited to be able to continue photographing your little ones once we move. Who would have thought :) I will resume shooting most likely second half of October and we will kick the season off with some pumpkin patch mini sessions, fall minis – REAL FALL mini sessions – open to families not just babies. Oh, I am so excited to see the colorful leaves again!!!!
So many things already lined up for when we are in England, both business wise and personal life wise. I am looking forward to catching up with all our friends whom we haven’t seen for over three years now.
It will take a little getting used to typing “Simply Ania |RAF Lakenheath, Mildenhall, Feltwell, Alconbury and surrounding area of Cambridge, Norfolk & Suffolk Maternity, Birth and Newborn Photographer” instead of just “Simply Ania | Okinawa Maternity, Birth and Newborn Photographer” ;)
